The following degrees are available in Composition: Bachelor of Music in Composition, Bachelor of Music in Jazz Composition/Arranging, Master of Music in Composition, Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition. The Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music is the only doctoral-degree-granting music institution in the state of Tennessee. Each year the School of Music hosts the Imagine festival. The 2009 festival will feature the works of Arvo Pärt, along with student and faculty ensembles performing numerous new works.
