The Vocal Arts Division offers instruction to those seeking to develop skills as singers with a classical singing technique. Choral ensembles include University Singers, Opera and Opera Chorus, Chamber Choir, and the Collegium Musicum, which specializes in historical performance practices. U of M vocalists perform throughout Memphis and the surrounding region in productions by organizations such as Opera Memphis, the Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble, the Memphis Early Music Ensemble, and the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. The Vocal Arts Division offers the Bachelor of Music, the Master of Music, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degrees.
